Welcome to our free online note service (hereinafter "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the following terms:

1. Service Description

The Service allows users to create and store text notes ("notes") via a web interface.

• Free version: maximum length per note is 5,000 characters.
• Premium version: after purchasing a premium key, users can create notes with a maximum length per note of 100,000 characters.
• Premium users have additional options for text formatting and securing notes with a password.

Purchasing a premium key unlocks all premium features for all notes and is valid for 24 months from the purchase date. After the key expires, a new key must be purchased to continue using premium features.

To maintain system performance and storage efficiency, we apply the following data retention policy:

Notes that contain no content (empty notes) will be automatically deleted after 24 hours of inactivity.
Notes that contain content and are associated with free usage will be automatically deleted after 6 months of inactivity.
Notes associated with an active premium license key are never automatically deleted, regardless of activity.

By using the service, you agree to this data retention policy.

2. Using the Service

• The Service does not require a login.
• The Service may only be used for lawful purposes and in accordance with local laws.
• By using GetBlueCat, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old.
• This service is not intended for children under the age of 13.

3. Security and Sensitive Information

• Sensitive information such as passwords, credit/debit card numbers, or any other data that may compromise security must not be entered.
• Any damage or issues arising from entering sensitive information are the sole responsibility of the user.
• It is not recommended to use the Service on public or shared devices.
• If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information we will take steps to delete that information promptly in accordance with applicable law.

4. Public Notes Disclaimer

• By using the service, you acknowledge and agree that any note created without password protection is considered a public note.
• Anyone who has access to the note’s link can view and edit its content.
• You are responsible for keeping the link secure.
• Please be aware that links may be accessible through browser history, shared devices, or other means beyond your control.
• We strongly recommend using password protection for any private information.

4. Purchasing a Premium Key

• Premium keys can be purchased directly through the website.
• Activation of the key unlocks premium features for all notes.
• The premium key is valid for 24 months. After expiration, a new key must be purchased to continue using premium features.

5. Payments

• All payments for services provided on GetBlueCat are processed securely through our payment provider, Paddle.com.
• Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. This means that Paddle handles all customer billing, payment processing, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws. When you make a purchase, your payment information is submitted directly to Paddle and is subject to Paddle’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
• We do not store or process your payment details directly.

6. Restrictions and Rules

• Users may not use the Service to distribute malicious content, spam, or engage in any activity that violates the law.
• The Service does not guarantee the storage or durability of notes. Regular backups are recommended.
• Use of the Service is entirely at the user's own risk.
• The Service is provided "as is" without any warranties, including reliability, availability, or accuracy.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

• We collect only email addresses necessary to start using the Service and communicate regarding premium features.
• Email addresses will not be shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes without consent.

8. Liability

• Dejan Sabados is not responsible for any damage resulting from the use of the Service.
• Users are solely responsible for the security of their data, entering sensitive information, and storing notes.

9. Changes to Terms

• We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.
• Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the website.
